Historic Finish Recreation
Where historic finishes are impossible to conserve or no longer extant, recreation is sometimes the only alternative to experiencing historic decoration. Historic finish recreation is the end result of research, paint analysis and extensive onsite investigations.   To accurately recreate the nuances of the historic materials, it is necessary to have a complete understanding of the materials, tools and techniques used to execute the original decoration, and employ those traditional materials where possible.
